Inside Out

Have you seen that movie? Great. If not, go see it. This is not what this post is about. This post is dedicated to women-  everyday women that are hard workers, grinders, and holding their family down. It’s hard to take care of yourself when there are so many other things going on, but I am here to tell you that it is possible and a must!

As a wife and mother I find myself always worrying that my husband and children have everything they need. When shopping I’ll buy them double or triple what I buy myself. I feel this is what I’m supposed to do because they can’t do it themselves (no offense, bey). What I have learned from my second mother (mother-in-law) is that every once in a while I also need to go out and treat myself.

The best place to start when treating yourself is your undergarments. It’s true what people say: if you feel good on the inside, you’ll look good on the outside. Fresh undergarments will make you feel rejuvenated. Think about the last time you brought a new bra, if you can remember that far back, you probably felt lifted, tight, and a few pounds lighter. I know I did!

What about new underwear? How about not sticking to the same styles you always wear, but trying a new cut like boy shorts or thongs? You don’t have to wear them everyday if you’re nervous about feeling uncomfortable, maybe throw them on for a date night with the hubby or a night out with the girls.

Let’s face it ladies, if we’re not happy it will affect our families. Even if we can’t do it all we can do little things to lift ourselves up. Maya Angelou said, “If you have only one smile in you give it to the people you love”.
